Kawasaki Daishi
Visited Kawasaki Daishi (Temple Heigenji) for New Year pray.
It's so crowded, took time to enter.
To Japanese it is custom to visit shrines or temples for new year first visit.

新年快乐
あけましておめでとうございます
hatsu mohde (Fierst visits shrines or temples in new Year)
When foreigners observe this, they are likely to think Japanese are very religious, especially when they see the crowds of Japanese who visit shrines or temples on the first few days of the year.
Actually people visit not for religious reasons, but rather to pray for things such as health for ones' family and prosperity in business.
